Here in Washington State, spring is beginning! The grass and the flowers are starting to grow. (I am so thankful that God made the grass green! Imagine what it would be like to read Psalm 23 “and He makes me lie down in red pastures" : )
I am also thankful that the rain and snow season is almost over. I love the outdoors and playing outside is so much nicer in the sunshine! But as you can see, God made His creation to work together. Without the rain, the trees wouldn’t grow their beautiful leaves which shade us from the sun. And the nourishing grass wouldn’t grow to feed our pasture animals.
I also love to see the cute lambs that are born in the spring. They joyfully frolic around the pastures, jumping on rocks (and their mothers)! What a beautiful picture of new life in the springtime!
What a wonder are the creations of our Lord and Father! How awesome it is to know that He made the seasons for us, His children, to enjoy! Blessed be the Lord!

There are many reasons why I love the springtime. I enjoy God’s wonderful display of the fresh green grasses and white fluffy newborn lambs playing in the pastures. Nearby, the tulip farms and gardens look lovely as they show off their beautiful flowers God has created. It is always so good to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. One of my favorite activities in the spring’s warmth is baseball practice. And soon after that comes our first game of the season!
Yes, the gloomy days of winter are over!
Flowers bloom, red, purple and green,
No more ice storms, slick and mean!
As God works outside displaying His majestic colors to be seen,
We tidy up inside, as spring means it’s time to clean!

I liked your comments about spring. Your seasons in Washington are a little more definitive than here in Phoenix. It is amazing to look around us and see all the beauty that God has provided for our enjoyment. I know that you will enjoy the next few months as you will be able to enjoy the beautiful blue skys, the white fluffy clouds, the many and varied shades of green trees and green pastures, and of course the many beautiful flowers that bloom in your area. ( and yes, the animals too) You truly live in a gorgeous place. However, I know of one young man who will probably enjoy it most of all as he slides into those bases.
Are you really supposed to clean in the spring????
I love you all so much, Meemom
Dear Meemom,
I certainly will be enjoying spring! Even more so because I will be seeing you! I miss you so very much!
As for cleaning in spring, it would be a wonderful idea to always do it in the wintertime,so we could play more in the nice weather! But seems like it is hard sometimes to get motivated in the winter! We know what works for us though . . . and that is to have a "showing" of our house! : )
God bless you, my dear Quad Granny!
I love you,
Lydia
Spring has sprung at the Bowes Ranch.
You all asked once where do we see
Gods actions.
Just look at a new bud on a tree and see it bloom into a little flower then an apple or orange.
Trees that look dead all winter then all of a sudden the dead branches have leaves all over them.
Yes God has made His creation work together.
Love you writings Miss Lydia and Mr Kyle.
Soon the strike out king will be putting them down 1,2,3 then sludding into bases.
The word is sliding but I remember Dizzy Dean the great pitcher and then radio sports announcer say "He slud into base." His Mastery of the English language was so bad the powers to be had him removed from the air waves because he was teaching kids bad English.
Love you all soooooooooooooooo very much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grandpa
Dear Grandpa,
Slud, huh???? Thats just a mix between sled, slide and slug. Hard to say those words right sometimes! And as for strike-out pitcher, I'm not thinking I'll put them down as easy as 1,2,3. First I have to work on my side-arm, which is a BAD habit. Still, I look forward to baseball! Wish you could come and see a few games!
Love you BIG bunches!
Kyle
Ooh good! It's only part one, so I'll be waiting for part 2. But you guys are right. I never realized how great spring is. I always looked at it as bad since it took away the snow. (And I love snow!) So I'll be waiting for part 2
Gabe :)
Hi Gabe!
Thanks for your thoughts on the springtime! And glad you'll be stayng tuned for part 2!
We sure understand your love for snow! We love it too! And we really miss the deeper snow we had while in Flagstaff. We get snow here, but it usually isn't quite deep enough to make the bigger snowmen, igloos, and sledding runs!
Indeed, the seasons really are a blessing to be thankful for, as I imagine we might get bored with one season all the time:) (even if it was a snowy season:)
Thanks again for tuning in and leaving us such great comments!
With love,
Mrs. Bowes, for the entire Bowes Bunch
