Awwww . . . .

We recently enjoyed a wonderful Sunday afternoon of great food and fellowship at the home of the very fun and hospitable Adams Family. It was a delightful time! THANK YOU Jason, Vickie, Willow and Addison!

A highlight of our visit at the Adams' home was the opportunity to see their new sow and her ten piglets! A little bit later in the afternoon, while I was helping Timothy on their potty, his little three-year-old thoughts came tumbling out as he asked:

"Mommy, I was just wondering . . . could we take Wilbur home?"

Hi Grammie!

Hmmmm . . . we'll have to give this some serious thought! Though I think we'd have to name it "Bacon" or "Pork chop"! : ( Not sure how well that would go over with Timothy!

Love you!

That's pretty cute that Timothy thought you needed to add a pig to the menagerie. I agree that it would be kinda hard not to think in terms of "Bacon" or "Pork Chop". That would probably not go over to well with any of the Bowes children. They are all too kind hearted for that. Sure am enjoying your blog. Love, Meemom

Dear Quadgranny,

I agree that if we got a pig, Timmy would not be very happy about us calling it "pork chop" or "bacon"! He also might not appreciate his/her eventual "disappearing act"!

Hope the rest of your day goes well!

I love you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!

Love,
Valerie

Oink Oink!!!

At least Pork Chop or Bacon would not spit at you but he/she might be a little uncomfortable to snuggle next to.
Some people say pigs are smarter than dogs.

I can just see it now. Pork Chop following Timothy around the ranch.

Found on the internet: Feeding one or more pigs to sell as market animals is probably one of the most common 4-H livestock projects. It doesn't require a large amount of money or expensive buildings and equipment and it can be completed in about four months.

Love The Bowes ranchers very much!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Grandpa,

I am sosososososo glad that pigs do not spit too!!!!:) And I also think that it would be pretty uncomfortable to snugle up to a pig!!!!:) I can NOT at all believe that pigs are smarter than dogs! That would be one amazing pig!~ I enjoyed the research that you found about the pigs!!!! Thank you!!!!!!
