We're Dreaming of a Green Springtime . . .

Lydia took these pictures YESTERDAY, as Ted and I drove our big white sleigh through this springtime wonderland to Seattle for a homeschool conference.

My Goodness,
I thought the thin yellow coating of pollen that the pine trees around our house produce in the springtime was something.

Our coating of pollen is absolutely nothing compared to the coating of white pollen your pine trees put out in the spring time.

Sure must be a problem for all those who have allergies.

Love you more than all those grains of pollen,

Grandpa

Wow! And I thought we got a lot of snow! Is it fun to play in? Or is it the sticky, wet, yucky kind?

Over here we only have wind. Lots and lots of wind... ugh!

Hi Grandpa!

We love you more than all the snowflakes that have ever fallen!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Dear Gabe,

Yes, we did some sledding and had some good snowball fights yesterday. That is always fun! We remember the springtime wind in Flagstaff. But at least it makes for nice, fresh, clean air:)

We're counting down with you to Prince Caspian!

Lydia,
Great photos. You are following a page of your Chocolate loving Momma's book.

Melvin Zwick wrote the comment about pollen. You know how he is. He can't let a goofy story pass him by.

How far do you sled down the hill? With a little planning I imagine you could sled all the way down to the main road. But then you would have to hike all the way back up the hill.

I love you as much as all the snow flakes in the world,

Grandpa

WoW!
Do you all still have a recipe for making ice cream with fresh snow?

I would like it, if you do.

Love,
Mrs. Eagle

Hi Kim!

Oh boy, oh boy . . . fresh snow ice-cream is the best! We love it, and this winter we have had the opportunity to make it often! :)

We just make it the easy way . . . by adding a can of sweetened condensed milk and some vanilla!

Lots of love to you all!
