Go Diamondbacks!

By Kyle
By winning their home opener on Monday, and winning again last night, the Diamondbacks climbed to the top of their division (6-2)! They also lead all major league teams in home runs with a total of 17 so far!

Daddy and I enjoy watching their games from afar on our computer. And on Monday night, I even got a play-by-play from Papa, on his cell phone, who was sitting above home plate at Chase field! For me, that was almost as good as being there!

Kyle, I sure enjoyed the CONNECTION we shared from the opening day game. Like you, but in a different way, it was only ALMOST as good as being THERE. Meaning THERE with you and your Daddy. During the game we remembered the fun times we had with you at the ballgames. One memory I will always treasure is when I went to the game with you, Daddy and Victoria. Before the game we spent some time in the areas close to the field trying to get batting practice balls and autographs and just being up-close to the players on the field. When game time came we all headed to our seats which were very far up in what some call the nose-bleed section. After much time climbing the stairs we FINALLY reached our seats. When we all turned and sat down your first words were "Daddy, how did you get such GREAT seats?!!" I was blown away with your grateful attitude. This is a great example of how we should respond to our Heavenly Father. Instead of complaining that we don't have the best position in this world we will always praise HIM for what we have. LIFE IN HIM!
"Daddy(ABBA FATHER)HOW DID YOU KNOW JUST WHAT I NEEDED.
Love you all,,,Papa

Your loyalty to the D-backs amazes me. Sure hope they live up to your expectations this year.

That was a cute story your Papa wrote about being appreciative of your seats. It does remind us that we should be appreciative of where we are in this life.

Much, much love, Meemom

Kyle, I'm glad you and your dad get to see the games on your computer. I've been thinking of you as I watch some of the games here in the Valley.

Randy Johnson is on his way back from his injury. I read he will probably start next Monday. Looks like we have a good team in 2008. Maybe we'll get past those Rockies this year and go all the way!

Go D'backs!!!

Hi Diamondback fans,
Hey it can’t get much better then this. Grandpa, Son and Grandson at the ball game. Well at least the TV and phone baseball game. Papa what a joy the togetherness must have brought.

The Bowes can see the game much closer up than at the stadium and they also have the stats. Great.

Hey Ted, how come you are not wearing a Diamondback cap. It looks like the writing on the cap starts with “C.” Last time I checked Diamondbacks does not start with “C.“

But wait a minute. That fellow on the left. Might he be Melvin Zwick in disguise? He is wearing a had like Melvin Zwick normally wears and the same type of jacket.

Kyle did you check if that fellow on the left is really your dad and not Melvin Zwick in disguise?

Hey Grandpa could not resist the goofyness.

Love you all big bunches,
Grandpa
