Farm Photo Friday

This is our resident shepherdess and her "trusty" wethered ram, Justice.
He is known as the "consumer" on the farm, because all he does is . . . well, consume! Well, other than get into all kinds of mischief, like regularly opening the gate to free himself and the other farm animals from their pasture!

Are you making a sweater out of that wool Lydia? Looks like there might be enough to do so.
I bet Justice did feel like he had lightened his load after that wool cut. He looks fairly innocent. Hard to believe he would open a gate and free himself as well as the other farm animals. Probably just looking to add a little more excitement to his day.

Great picture taking!!!! Bushels of love to you, Meemom

Wow!!! I wish I could lose weight, or look slimmer with a hair cut. :)

Hey, maybe Justice will behave better now that his "sheep's clothing" has been removed. You know, like a naughty little "wolf" disguised in sheep's clothes.
Perhaps, he has come to Christ to have his "burden" removed. LOL!
Lots of love,
Mrs. Eagle

Who does the shearing? I saw a documentary on that once, and it is quite a job! What do you do with the wool? Fascinating! He sure looks different, doesn't he? Does Justice get embarrassed when he's first sheared or does he love the new haircut?

I know, I ask a lot of questions, don't I? But how else will I learn? :)

Dear Meemom,

It would be so much fun to make a sweater out of his wool...if I knew how to! I hope that someday I can learn to spin it and everything. And yes, he does have so much wool, that it looks like we could make several sweaters out of it!

And I do think that Justice does look innocent. He's got such a cute face. He is my favorite one out of all my sheep.

Thanks for your compliments on our photos! It sure is fun!

I love you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Mrs. Eagle,

Yes, I agree, only Justice can't use the excuse anymore that he's "only fluffy, not fat!" He is regreting that he may not be getting as many graham crackers from now on!

And I think you're right about Justice being a wolf in sheep's clothing! He is such a stinker sometimes! He un-ties shoes,(particularly Daddy's) and jumps up on you when he wants MORE food, (which is usually ALWAYS, and he nudges the other sheep away from me so he can get the most attention! But he is also the sweetest of them all, so I really don't mind all these "Pet peeves."

Love you so much,
Lydia

Dear Miss Donna,

You will probably be surprised, but the wonderful shearer that I have for my sheep happens to be... Daddy! It is very tricky, but he gets better every time! You should have seen the first time he sheared a sheep, it looked hilarious! There were tufts of wool sticking up all over it!

Right now I am just giving the wool away to a lady at our church, that wants it for felting. Someday I hope to spin it and sell it.

I do think that Justice is kind of embarrassed about being "pink" now. He used to be the dominant one of the flock, (and the most prideful)but I think he lost some of his superiority.:) And it was funny, the other sheep didn't totally recognize him when he had just come back into the pasture!

I love you so much!
Lydia
P.S.
I really enjoy all your questions! I love to answer any and all of them!:) So thanks for asking them! It is so much fun to be in-touch with you!!!!!!

Well your dad is quite the barber! I'm feeling a little shaggy around the ears, so maybe I'll run on up so he can give me a quick cut! ;)

Remind Justice that some of us ladies prefer our men to be clean cut, so I'm sure there are some in the flock who think he is very handsome now.

Gee Whiz, now Valerie is taking great pictures. Chocolate Loving Picture Momma sure is setting a great example.

Looks like Daddy Ted did a great job shearing Justice. I don't imagine that was an easy job.

Sounds like Justice is a real clown. He must keep the whole family entertained with his antics.

Love you all more then all the wool in the world and from the looks of justice before and after that must be a lot of love,

Grandpa

Wow! haha funny Justice. You guys take really great pictures! Justice looks really soft with and without his fur. Very cuddly.

I don't know how you guys keep up with all your animals! I have a hard enough time keeping track of my hamster and the fishies out front. They are a handful!

I love you guys very much and I can't wait to see all of you on Friday.

Love,
Cassidy

Wow guys! I bet Justice was very happy after getting all of that winter fur off and taken care of. Was that a difficult job, sheering off all of his wool?

When Mommy cuts Kiara, she looks like a completely different animal, kind of like Justice!

We all can't wait to see you this coming Friday, we will have so much fun! Can't wait to see the puppies too. :)

Hi Cassi!

Thanks for your compliment on our picture taking! We will enjoy taking pictures of YOU when you come Friday!:) We are missing you so much!

Yes, I think that Justice is very cuddly, and he also, in fact, makes a great pillow when he's lying down!

Love you SO much,
Lydia

Dear McKenna,

It was great to see your comment! Thanks! We raelly love hearing from you!:)

Yes, Justice was pretty difficult to shear. Of course, it isn't really him in particular. Mercy(his sister) is even harder because of how she squirms! Justice turned out looking a lot better than Mercy did! :)

I agree that Kiara looks a lot different after she's had her hair cut. It looks so cute!

I miss you and can't wait to see you soon!!!

Dear Grandpa,

Yes, I think that a "clown" is the perfect way to describe Justice! He is so goofy some times!

And yes, I do think that Daddy did a great job shearing him. It was very hard because of all the wrinkles of fat around his belly. Justice is in need of a diet...badly.:)

I love you more than all the wool in the world PLUS all the shearers in the WORLD!
